This tour offers you an incredible journey exploring the Louvre’s icons. Allow yourself to travel through history with an officially licensed Tour Guide and discover the mystery of various civilizations.
We will admire beauty ideals and a vast array of feminine representations: a virgin, a mistress, a queen, a mother, a Goddess…
As we walk around this palace, we’ll take in art from Egypt, antiquity and the Renaissance, until the 19th century.
About this tours
· Our tour will start at your hotel, where I will meet you.
· We’ll then proceed to explore this fascinating art collection, starting with the Great Sphinx.
· Next, we’ll cover the Venus de Milo and the Winged Victory of Samothrace.
· Afterwards, we’ll admire the sparkling royal diamonds in the gilded Galerie d’Apollon
· We’ll continue with the Italian Renaissance, focusing on the Mona Lisa, the Virgin and child, and La Belle Ferronniere by Da Vinci; La Belle Jardiniere by Raphael; the Wedding Feast at Cana by Veronese.
· What follows will be the Grande Odalisque, the Raft of the Medusa, Liberty leading the People and the Coronation of Napoleon.
· We will end with two famous scultpures: The Dying Slave by Michelangelo and Psyche Revived by Cupid’s kiss.
